In 2018, we launched the UK’s first real-time pay-by-mile car insurance policy, and we’ve been growing quickly ever since. 

As our pay-by-mile policy was the first of its kind, our policy has proven popular with UK motorists, who voted us Best Car Insurance Provider and Best Insurance App for two years running at the Insurance Choice Awards. Our customer-first approach has also ensured we have a Trustpilot rating of ‘Excellent’. We’ve been covered by the BBC, The Telegraph and TechCrunch, while our pay-by-mile policy has also been featured on TV’s Sky News and The Gadget Show.

Our Operations Team sits at the heart of our organisation and has been vital to our current success. The team continues to be an essential part of our business as we grow, and will support our people and processes to ensure that we’re the very best we can be.

The Role

Reporting into our Head of Operations, you’ll be a pivotal part of a team that spans across every element of our business. In a quickly growing startup, there’s no role more varied: you’ll interact with stakeholders from every team and many of our external partners. Efficiency is one of our core company virtues and as our Operations Manager, you’ll play a vital part in helping to maximise it.

Through compassionate led relationships, you’ll collaborate with the wider business to influence and support the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our award winning Customer Experience Team, helping them to maximise their efficiency through systems and workflow improvements.

Externally, you’ll manage our suppliers to ensure they’re delivering what we need them to. You’ll help the business to resolve issues as they arise, and work with these suppliers to continually improve their processes. When required, you may also lead the procurement and onboarding of new suppliers.

Lastly, you’ll execute the day-to-day operations requirements of the business, such as forecasting and placing purchase orders for stock, ensuring all of our business insurances remain in place and up to date, and assisting with the execution of our OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, with attention to detail, who enjoys spotting ways to improve the way we work, and back up their decision making with data. Experience in an operational role within a corporate or scale-up environment is an advantage but not essential.

  • Great communication skills, with the ability to adapt to your audience.

  • A proactive approach, with a willingness to take on new tasks and projects.


One more of the following are an advantage:

  • Experience in an operational role for a corporate or scale-up company.
  • Experience in the management of suppliers and people.
  • Problem-solving training or qualifications.

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 dependent on experience
